The house has a small number of rooms and operates during the summer season. Stays run beside whatever else is happening in the house that week, which may mean other guests, an event, or nothing particular beyond the daily life of the place.

The rooms are kept simple. What they offer is the context they sit within. You will hear the harbour, the weather, and the rest of the house. Shared spaces are available throughout your stay. The harbour, the sea and the beach are all part of the patio.

Rooms

Available for single, double, or twin occupancy. Some look out over the harbour, others face inland. Rates depend on the time of year, the room, and what is happening in the house that week. Breakfast is included. Minimum stays apply at certain points in the season. Details are confirmed when you enquire.

Getting here

Clare Island is served by ferry from Roonagh Pier, near Louisburgh in County Mayo. Ferries run daily during the season, though schedules vary and are subject to weather. For schedules, see Clare Island Ferry Company and O'Malley Ferries.

Let us know which ferry you're on. We'll be here when you arrive. Rooms are ready from mid-afternoon, but you're welcome to drop bags and head out earlier. Check-out is by 11.30, but the shared spaces and the outdoors are yours until you leave the island.

Getting to the island means taking a ferry. It's worth thinking about what you're bringing and how you'll carry it.
